I'm wondering what determines the likelihood of an account getting banned when selling gold.
One website (mmoexchange) says:
"# Never send gold from a level one char.
# Always make WoW mail to appear as if you are sending to some one you know.
# Don't send more then a couple orders from the same char a day.
# If the player is online offer F2F trade."
A top question for me is whether Blizzard will notice accounts with more than a certain ratio of gold to max character level. Though I don't use level 1s, I normally sell gold on an account with only level 2 to level 6 characters. Will exceeding 10000 gold sold in one day cause high risk? 20000?
Even in my limited experience, I've started to learn useful things like that Blizzard apparently does not IP ban, as I've gotten one account banned while another on the same IP and computer is still fine.
So what have others learned in their experience? When have you sold gold and gotten a ban versus when without a ban?
