So, I just found a translated manuscript of the Trial
(Found Here: Translated version of http://megahertz-radio.com/piratebay/Protokoll.html)
Speculation: Seeing as how WoW is available from Blizz for free download, they must be pressing charges due to the Warcraft III torrent on the Bay. (Which, by the way, is ALWAYS seeded... go check it out!)
So, if you're unfmailiar with the situation, Basically the trial is all about trying to shut down thepiratebay.org, due to illegal activity. Of course, as we all know, no illegal activity actually happens at thepiratebay.org, so yeah.
Anyway, the prosecution has spent like 5 years or something building a case, and in one day, they've already dropped 50% of the charges.
So yeah, my guess is Blizz heard some major moneyz were goin down from pirate bay, and wanted a piece of the pie, as always.
I'm cancelling my subscription.
