Want to have my friend play my account oversee's.

Well, i have a friend that lives in Sweden, and im in the US. And I play on US Server's, but i would really like for him to play my mage, hes amazing at mage pvp, where i am a PVE'er. I was wondering, besides the lag issues. Would it raise alot of red flags having him play on my account, going from a US IP to a Sweden IP in like 5 minutes? And, if so what would they do?. I could always say that he is my brother, family members are allowed to play on the same account. But, before i have him play my mage, i just wanted to get your opinions on the subject.

To my experience, no lag (100~160ms) or flags (to what I know) risen. If Blizz askes, tell your friend to say you moved to sweden.

Moved to sweden.... with 30 seconds between a US IP and a Sweeden IP. As far as i know, there are no ports IRL Yet.

Still, there is no reason for them to check up if your account IP is from Sweden or not. It's not like "Oh look, his ping is 10ms higher than usual, lets check his IP record out". :P

It shouldn't raise any flags.. Blizz tends to fail at detecting these things.

You might get a temp ban for the ip change, because they may think the account was compromised. Other than that you should be fine.

Can't you just say that you're trying out a proxy server/ VPN tunnel? ;o

or are they banning you for that stuff too?

i dont think anyone will ask for anything, i got both US and EU accs (im from EU) and US dont have same info (hard to figure out :P) and for last year or so noone asked anything

i agree with all above me; why would they ask anything? well... you can always hide your IP...
