OpenBot.NET is
not a bot!
Say that 10 times in your head until you understand it. OpenBot.NET is simply a platform developers can use to write bots for games that allow them. (These can be games from FPSs, MMOs, or any other kind of DX8/DX9 based games) OpenBot.NET in itself cannot, and will not bot any game for you! It is merely a complete base to which you can develop on. (Similar to how Inner Space has support for any game, so does OpenBot.NET) Think of it this way, if you were to install OpenBot.NET on to your computer, it will do nothing but sit there staring back at you. It cannot do anything until you tell it what to do!
[legal stuff]
Eventually I'll have an actual lawyer/attorney write up the agreement, but for now this will have to suffice. (Pardon my lack of legalese)
OpenBot.NET (OB.NET) is not to be used with any game that has expressly prohibited the use of automation software, or 3rd party tools of any kind. (E.g; World of Warcraft, EverQuest 2, etc) We do not condone, nor support any interaction with such games, and therefore cannot be held liable for any contractual infringements or interferences, or copyright disputes.
Users found to be supporting such games cannot find OB.NET or any of its subsidiaries or partners liable for any penalties, or damages incurred from the end users use of this software.
OB.NET is solely a platform to develop automation for allowed games. We provide an API base to make it easier to develop such bots. Through the use of a built in Finite State Machine (FSM), extensible plugin architecture, and generic game support, you are able to develop a bot for any allowed game of your choosing.
[/legal stuff]
OB.NET allows you to create your bots in as little as 3 classes, or as many as you deem necessary. Using the .NET 3.5 platform, you're able to use any .NET supported language you choose, as all of OB.NET's API is CLS compliant. (That means, it won't cause any problems for any .NET languages) OB.NET is itself, coded 100% in C#, and optimized to be as fast as possible, with the least possible memory footprint.
