Alright your Probally all thinking wtf is Wrong with this WoW Player and why is he Posting this?

Well I was a Great,Popular player on Ani-WoW and it so happens that they said Server needs a Restart..
I wait around 5 - 10 Minutes and I read the Website which it Crashed saying that they're was a Legal DMCA charge to all Popular WoW Private Servers to have all PS Info Erased within 24 Hours or this will happen..

Private Servers are Copys of WoW that were Used for Custom Model Editing which is part 1 for a Reason and that the Thing was People could Play "World of Warcraft" for Free..Which WoW was made For Money not for Free.

Alright your probally thinking Wtf? Whats wrong with this kid and there for I found some scary news for the Private Servers Futures..

Everyone go to www.ani-wow.com theres a message saying that all World of Warcraft Private servers will be shut down due to a Legal DMCA meaning you will go to Jail before you can say "i didn't know" I suggest getting rid of all PS info you have now unless someone can tell me about this Rumor!

There is no way Blizzard is going to get every persons PC searched. If they were going after clients, they would do it through the server-side of things. They would most likely try and force the private servers to relinquish logs. So theres nothing that you could do.

Think before you post, no need to get people all scared about jail for playing on a private server.

I think what they are really trying to do is go after the large servers like Chaoscrusade and WoWscape for sure.

I think its kinda lame, I don't think they would shutdown all the servers, they just can't. WoWScape wont shutdown cuz maybe they have a "deal" with blizz or something :P, well, i think those news are bull

Umm, Blizzard has been working on this for ages. A few GM's that i talked to about private servers with told me. I asked one, and he said 'Play on them as much as you want now, and we wont do anything. But soon we will be cracking down on them.'
That was pretty long ago though.

Also, Warden tracks everything you do on your computer whilst WoW is open. But they use this to sell to advertising companies. Its even written in the EULA.

If they were to start using the info they find for this, to find people playing private servers.. The end result could be catastrophic.
Not jail, but they are planning on suing many of the private servers. And banning all the retail accounts of people who have been associated with them.

I think its a good idea, they will make more money.. Not that they already aren't making heaps.

First off look up on the things your going to talk about before you do talk about them, blizzard is closing down high pop private servers they will not ban your retail account they will not look for your ip or request it from the private server owners they will not try to find you to sue you for playing on a private server the only thing that will affect you at ALL is that these high pop servers are closing down.

To sum it all up it is not illegal to play on a private server and blizzard will not charge you or try to look for you.
