    Spectral tiger possible scam ?

I'm thinking of buying a spectral tiger...the dude who sells it says he only has the code not the card ....

If i meet him face to face and he gives me the code i enter it and its ok am i safe ? Or can he recover the code or something ?

He probably can't enter it again since its only 1 time and i'm willing to bring a laotop with me just to be sure i activate it first.... do you think this is ok?
Really would like your opinions guys! Thanks..

the main reason i'm worrying about is that he might tell blizzard he was scammed for it or something and get it back since he might have the actual proof ...the card...you sure i can still manage to get it and keep it ?

Shiri'Lahndis, is there any reason you have your characters info for blizzard to see in your signature?

That's dangerous territory if you're posting on this site

Heres how you can be safe when he gives your code in-person:

    1) Make sure they card looks real.. also make sure the code isn't stratched off
    2) Meet him at his HOUSE don't meet any where else, if he scams you, you have is adress so you can go beat him up if its a scam

    IF YOU CAN:

Bring a lap-top and enter the code after you do the trade, while he's watching you enter the code. If it doesn't work then tell him you want my money back.. thats what my brother did haha.

When you call him up say to him that I well bring my lap-top and enter the code in WoW to make sure its legit before the trade, if he trys to talk you out of bringing your laptop its a scam, if he says "It's legit you don't have to do that" its also probably a scam.

    My 2 cents

EDIT: He can't take back the code, if he gave you the card theres no proof lol

FOLLOW MY STEPS TO MAKE SURE ITS LEGIT, MAKE SURE HE GIVEES YOU THE CARD THATS UNSCRATCHED

I agree with what Smahs said. Bring your laptop and BE ALREADY LOGGED IN. Don't let him see your acct name because that makes it easier for him to get access to your acct.

If he doesn't have the card, just the code, it's already iffy. But it still might be legit.

Meet in a public place like a coffee shop or something. That way if he runs off with your money you've got all these witnesses and can make a scene "Hey stop, he stole my wallet!" :P

I would say don't give him the money until he gives you the code. Tell him that when you've plugged it in and verified it works, you'll pay him. If he's wary about this, or tries to talk you out of doing it this way, it's likely a scam.

AFAIK once a code has been redeemed, it cannot be recalled by anyone, even if he were to call Blizz and give them the code. All they can do is say "Well I'm sorry, that code has been redeemed, sorry."

    Good luck.

if you have a laptop you can always meet at starbucks or wherever with internet
    redeem before you pay him
blizzard won't do anything about those situations because its too hard to verified about what really happened
i sold a beta + murloc suite before, bought 3 loot cards off ebay, never had issues
