Caverns of Time -- Stay a human?

Now, I realize that the old exploits to keep the human debuff were nerfed...

Has anyone tried leaving the CoT instances through an unusual/non-traditional means?

I was thinking maybe a lock summon out of the instance wouldn't break the costume debuff.

Or perhaps zoning into CoT and having a party member queue you for a battleground.

I play a human so I can't really test this.

I'm also trying to figure out a way to change genders permanently. There are ways to temporarily change genders via the engineering transporter malfunctions and female-to-male via effects like the Arcanite Ripper + costume wand or orb of deception.

I have a pet theory that if you can identify the right time to do this, say, during a server backup, you could get stored as the "wrong' gender.
