Hey people , so here goes:
Ive tried renting out my account to many companies, some good experiences, some bad, so i thought i might as well let people know about some of them, give some tips to people, ect.
I first started renting my account to KFCGame , my friend rented out at the same time, and he got a 3 day ban. Seeing this, I pulled my account out of there, unfortunately there was nothing on there of any worth.
The next place i rented to was Onmywaygame, now these people are legit in my opinion, very friendly. I rented my account out to them for 10 days and they added the game card like they said they would. I tried renting out to them again but after 4 days my account got banned.
After the ban lifted i checked my account and found 5000 gold, a good enough compensation in my opinion.
Then i tried RentMyToon.
I rented out to them for a few days, but they kept changing my password and selling everything, although i think it was something to do with bad employees.
Before the password changing started the MSN contact had extremely good
English, was very understanding and helpful, and was genuinely a good guy. After the 2nd time they tried to scam my account (I always get it all back :P ) I noticed they stopped logging onto MSN, turns out they went bankrupt and the website is now for sale :P lol - so much for that i guess
Now heres a big warning, DON'T USE RENTAL ACCOUNTS. I was browsing for account rental sites, and i found this site, the english wasn't the best, but the site was really well done. I sent in an app, and talked to the msn rep. The deal was supposed to be ; rent for 3 days, and get a gamecard. This seemed good to me, and after talking to the site rep, i decided to lend out the account. After 3 days the trouble started, I never got the "return e-mail" before they started renting, the msn support said that they did not get the form i filled out. I filled another one out, and then the 4th day from hell came. When i saw i didn't have my game card added to my account like the site rep promised me the night before i was PISSED! I asker her about why it wasn't added, and she said it was because they never got the form i filled out. I replied "THEN HOW THE HELL ARE YOU USING MY ACCOUNT?!!" . And they calmly replied "We haven't rented it yet."
Of course at this point i knew i was being scammed. She said she would "check" with her boss about adding my game card, and i changed my password, bunch of frigging liars.
What did i get out of it?
- 300g (SAD!)
- they removed my 285 goblin engineering and replaced it with 340 Jewelcrafting
- A ton of greens
- All of my alts were deleted except my 70 and my 2 19 twinks
- My 800 darkmoon special reserve and 1000 snowballs (LOL)
So, once again DON'T RENT TO RENTAL ACCOUNTS
Now, ill talk a little bit about OnMyWayGame.
Great customer support, to be honest this is kind of funny, i was talking to Xuemei (one of the many reps) for almost 2 months before i even knew she worked for a gold selling company (she contacted me many months ago , supposedly seeing my e-mail on a wow forum). All of the service reps are really nice people, they generally speak pretty good English, and like to get to know people on a personal level.
The one problem i had was that they made about 45 level 1s on a crap load of different servers, and spammed about their service, and that got me a 3 day ban. They offered compensation, but i decided to just keep the gold i found as compensation, they seemed fine with it.
For people looking to rent out accounts, here are some good tips once you find a good company you are considering using.
1. Have someone you can trust - Before you rent out to ANY company, you should send all of my gold and BoE valuables to someone you know in real life and can trust, who holds onto it until you get your account back.
2. Change your password to one that only you and that company knows - the worst thing that can happen is a friend and the company you are currently using, both trying to log onto your 70 at the same time (LOL)
3. This is probably the most important one , MAKE SURE YOU KNOW YOUR RECOVERY QUESTION ANSWER. This has saved me countless times, if you don't know the answer, seriously reconsider renting out your account
4. Know that now matter how good a company is, there is a very real possibility that you will get banned, 3 days or worse. The only tips i can really give for this are : talk to the person renting your account, find a middle ground, convince them to not do risky things on your account (like spamming or gold selling)
5. Be friendly - don't treat customer service like dirt, they're people too, give them time to respond, and be fair. Of course, don't let them push you around too much easier. But if you have been wrong done ( not paid ) feel free to let em have it :P
A company is more likely to compensate you, and be more careful with your account if you treat them well and they consider you to be a friend. Don't underestimate the power of a few kind words. Who knows, you may even get special deals
6. Dont scam legit companies - If a company is legit, do not scam them, this hurts the companies as well as the loyal customers who do rely on them.
If anyone finds any other legit companies like OnMyWayGame, let others know, it helps us all.
So, I help that this has helped someone in some way, happy gaming.
