on top of the island? you need to go through the large pink portal thingy in Rut'theran Village. It will take you to Darnassus

erm... you could jump off most of the edges... just run to one of the edges and keep moving along it until you find a hole

I'm not sure if its possible on live servers, but I did it on a private server by using a custom mount that flew....
