    scamming T6/S4 sellers

Has anyone has scammed t6/s4 sellers* by saying you would pay after then refusing to pay?
I'm just wondering if you had any repercussions in game from blizzard or in RL (they ask for your address and phone number) whether it be a lawsuit, small claims, or them hunting you down with a hacksaw.

*These are people selling items for hundreds-thousands of USD apiece

Nah no repercussions whatsoever, its all blizzards property so even when u scam the account from them you arent scamming it from THEM, the owner of the property is never transferred.

    No

Theres nothing they can do apart from Blacklist you, give you a bad reputation, Flame you then leave you ;P

Any sensible guild asks for the money upfront then pays it back if you dont get your drop.

Knowing how most of the internet is anyway, some 13 year old will show up at your door and try and cuss you out. Your mother will probably be involved in 3/4 of his insults too.

It's not illegal to scam accounts, but in the past, someone successfully sued someone for "loss of time and work spent." Although the WoW account belonged to neither of them, it is possible to sue someone who stole a service or something that involves time spent.

This is civil court though; it's not against the law to steal an account. It's possible someone could attempt to sue you, if they had a good lawyer and knew what to do, though.
