I referred a trial account from my main account and was wondering the trick to getting the 3 x Exp, as it wasn't working for me when i was running around killing things with my friend. I was playing the 70, friend was level 3.

I am guessing there could be a multitude of problems, and would just like a little confirmation and knowledge on the subject.

Do i need to start a new toon and level with him to gain the most efficient exp?

Does the trial account need to purchase the retail WoW game to take advantage of the 3 x Exp?

Just would like some clarification from anyone who knows the answers to these for a fact.

This is incorrect.

You are receiving 3x exp with your referd friend, just having a 70 there makes it seam like your not. Id recommend rerolling with your friend, its really easy. (Ive gotten to 38 in about 14-15 hours /played)

If your wanting the mount have your friend upgrade and buy a game card. If he uses a credit card you will have to wait till it auto buys the second month, meaning you wont get the mount for 70 days! (10 day trial+free month form buying retail+first month he buys=10+30+30=70!)

So how much faster is it to level to 70 with just you and your friend in the party leveling together? Is it worth it? Would it work with 3 or more? or does the exp wither away and not worth it by that many people?

Its extremely fast and fun to see you level that quickly. It would work with 3 people, you just have to recruit the other 2, and all 3 of u need to be present for you to all receive the 3x exp. Unfortunately with 3, mobs exp u get is the same as if u were solo, but u still get 3x quest exp, and its easier to do the quests. Still worth it with 3 if u ask me.

Also just wondering how i claim the free levels and do i need the retail version wow to receive the free level bonus to the Referring account. Thank you for your help.

You can get 1 free level on a character of your choice on the recruiters account, for every 2 levels the recrutie gets as long as the char you are trying to level is lower then the recruties char. To give the levels they must be partied and close to each other, right click the char's portrait and click grant level.

No no.. that makes no sense.. 10 days from trial, aha! 30 days from first buy, aha! isn't that 40 days? You will pay for the next 30 days and then you'll get the mount.. isn't that right?

When you buy the retail version of wow and upgrade your account you get a free month. Game time isn't added when paying with a credit card till about 3 (mabey?) days when you time is gonna run out. So once you upgrade to retail and buy one month, you will have 70 days of play time on the account, and you need to PAY for 2 months to get the mount.

Ok me and a friend are going to level together a few 60's. It's late and don't know how to work it out, but basically we want a result of a free 60 with the "grant a level" option.

Would that mean we need to level two 60's on the referred account and maybe one to 30. This would be mirrored onto the VET account, and make a new level 1 on the VET account and just log onto the two 60's on the Referred account and just keep granting the level 1 levels until they are all used up?

Is is possible to grant a level 1 60 levels, or has it been patched?

As always help is appreciated and maybe someone can make like a RAF FAQ to clear all the little things up that Articles like the blizzard one make unclear.

For one free 60 you would have to level 2 characters to level 60 (Or any combination of chars that the total amount of levels is 120, like 1 60 and 2 30's or 1 70 and 1 50) on the trial account, and use the free levels to get a 60 on the vet account. Although you could just level a char on the vet account to 30 and level 1 char to 60 on the trial account, and you get use the 30 levels to get the char from 30-60. And blizzard has a FAQ here: Blizzard Support

I might make a more in depth one once I figure out the last few things id like to know about it (Doing it with a friend right now)
