Fake item names

hey anyone know how to make item with a fake name like..
people do
[Haxes]
[Uber Sword]
in chat and stuff..

cant do it anymore, if you try and link a fake item you will just get DC from wow.

Using loot link, you can still link "Uber" items if they spawn, I often advert a Free [Thunderfury, Blessed Blade of the Windseeker] (BoP of course) to see what newbs respond. This may be used for seeking out candidates for various scams.

Self: Oh, ok, meet me in IF bank.
Self: *Writes down name for later COD scams, etc*

i can only link items with fake stats not fake names without getting Dced

I think if an addon was linked/added before a certain patch a while ago you're still allowed to link the items. Not too sure though
