glider help. my virus protection saids it is a virus.

hello i just bought glider, when i try getting started my virus protection goes off telling me its malware. i'm using avast antivirus.

ive never used avast but because of the code glider is written in you are going to have to put glider on its exceptions; or turn off avast

If you legitly bought glider there is nothing to worry about, just make the exception for it and continue.

Or, just turn off ur anti virus, and play WoW, keep in mind I don't mean your firewall, just your anti-virus.

Also while its off, don't download anything.

if you are afraid of virus on the internet get siteadvisor.
it scan's all sites for virus
but dude you wont get virus from a site just becaus you turn avast off.

Glider shows up in a few antivirus programs because it runs as a rootkit(?)... I think


At least I can be confident in saying that if you got it from the Glider website (MMOGlider.com) then it won't be a virus.. if it's a hacked version, demo from somewhere else etc.. then it's more then likely full of evil things :P
