    MyWarcraftStudio - Instance Swapping Help

I was hoping you guys could give me some insight on instance swapping with MyWarcraftStudio. I already know how to replace textures and models on anything in the game with MWS, but I have no idea how to swap instances. Two of the things I want to do with instance swapping is A) Do things such as zoning into deeprun tram and being in BWL, so I am never late for a blackwing lair, and B) getting to places such as the black morass and outlands through instance swapping. Thanks for the help!

It's pretty much the same concept. If you know how to do it with items, do the same with the instances. You probably won't find much help on this topic. I found it via trial and error, there's not much more to tell.

Also the idea of zoning into one area and being in an area doesn't quite work - meaning zoning into DeeprunTram and being in BWL. There are ways to do such a thing, but instance swapping alone won't get you there. When you instance swap, you are still in the origional instance, just with the textures/terrain of the swapped instance. Meaning you are still in the DRT, but to you it looks like, say the black morass. When you do /who on your self it will still say you are in the DRT. Therefor you won't see the mobs or the rest of your guildies.

Thank you for clearing this up. I will get straight to work on this.

Also if you are looking into doing so, pick yourself up batch renamer: http://batchrenamer.sourceforge.net/
Some instances have quite a lot of files you need to rename. Good luck, and yes 'it is just that easy' once you figure it out.
