The new ingame GM icon & the reason behind it.

Since 2.4 gm's got a [Blizz] icon in front of their name, and the old [GM] tag is removed.




So pretending to be a GM in the barrens chat, to fool noobs = over


Just had to contribute something, it aint easy being a leecher. No one takes me serious

I respect that you're trying to contribute, but this was on the PTR for ages, was in the patch notes, and has been posted on this site at least 4 times.

OK... this is easy to fix, there is the item in the patch file. It has a code to be at the front of the name. I have seen my friend (he is not a GM) manage to have [Blizz] logo before his name.

Prove it. If you can show me someone who has that icon before his name, that's not only client-side, you'd probably get so much rep it's insane. Honestly, you'd pretty much become a contributor from a thread that explained how to do this.

But I highly, highly doubt it. Even if you were somehow able to do this on retail servers, I'm thinking it would only be client-side, and would only show up for the player, and not everyone else.

If you can create/emulate a server-side Blizz logo and give instructions on how to use it, then you'll be the discoverer of one of the greatest exploits of all time.
