Vibrant Plumes – Thousand Needles (level 28-30)

There is a cave of harpies in Thousand Needles. It’s located along the southern wall, about halfway through the zone. The area is called the Screeching Canyon. The cave shows up as a cave on your map, but you might miss it, because it’s high up on the canyon wall. At the base of the wall is a group of harpies, and there’s a narrow path winding its way up to the cave entrance. Most of the mobs can be pulled one at a time (depending on your level of course), but you will pull more than one occasionally. The big thing you’re looking for here are Vibrant Plumes, since they are good for a turn-in quest for the Darkmoon Faire. The respawn rate on these mobs are so fast, that even as a level 60 exploding these things in one instant cast, by the time I got to the back of the cave and out again, they were respawning. You can get about 20s each for a Vibrant Plume. The Faire quest wants them in increments of 5 to earn 12 tickets, so it’s best to list them that way. They also drop loads of Light Feathers, which mages use as a reagent for Slow Fall (2g for a stack of 20). twocents twocents twocents
