Weird, "Second World" like mode in Vault of the Wardens ?

Hi all,

Approximately a month ago, something very strange happened to me during a VotW run.
As a Mage, I accidentally (and stupidly) blinked under the big elevator that brings you to the Inquisitor. I landed under the dungeon and was instantly killed.

After a mass resurrection, I could move around and cast spells, nothing seemed out of the usual. But I quickly noticed that I couldn't DPS anything, with an "out of range" error, while being very much in range of the boss. I also got constantly disoriented by the eyes even though, to me, I was facing them.

Here's the fun part : every time I used Blink, I was instantly teleported to where I was resurrected. I could do anything I wanted (including DPS), but server-side my feet were stuck in place.
Here's the even more fun part : I tried Alt-F4 without any result. I left the group and was booted ouf of the instance, but still that didn't fix it. I could then cast a mount and start exploring without taking any fall damage or aggroing any NPCs. I also went pretty far in the sea and didn't get a fatigue bar.

I could take a friend on a 2-seater and move him around, but on his side he didn't move. I tried the old Second World 2 seater glitch but it didn't work.

I finally disconnected and the situation went back to normal.

I have not tried reproducing the issue yet, but I think that this glitch, assuming that is wasn't just (bad) luck, would be interesting for exploration.

As you can see I can move freely, cast spells and mounts but as soon as I use Blink I get back to my starting point. I had no fatigue bar nor did I took fatigue damage.
Also note that I cannot cast ground spells such as Flamestrike nor attack mobs when I'm out of range server-side, so I'm in a weird "half desynced" state.

Same thing happened in Emerald Nightmare to a non-Mage friend of mine after he jumped to his death on Elerethe.
