[Movie] Seeing The Unseen - An Exploration Tribute

Youtube video blocked in your country? Watch on WarcraftMovies.com!

With both Legion and my WoW anniversary coming soon, I wanted to create something that shows my appreciation for this (mostly) beautiful game.
Because exploration has always been one of my favorite pastimes since BC, I thought about making some kind of compilation video showing all the amazing places I've been to.
The main issue: All clips I recorded prior Cata are of shabby quality, so I'd have to recapture the vast majority of my footage...
Well, that's actually what I did. During the last couple of weeks, I gathered together all my exploration tools and roamed through dozens of "unseen" areas, once again.

What you'll see in this video are, in my opinion, some of the most amazing sceneries of certain locations ever (area names included).
What you won't see is how to get there.
While the majority of you guys will recognize most places that are shown, I still hope I could capture one or another shot you haven't seen before.

I filmed all clips on Blizzard's live servers. To give you some numbers, it's 107 Dungeons, Raids, Scenarios, Battlegrounds and other places you'll see in the video.
As I said before, I recaptured most footage. 87 explorations were filmed during patch 6.2 and 20 during patch 6.1, 5.4, 5.1 and 4.3 = 107 in total.
    The movie is somewhat fast-paced.

    I didn't use
    • any third party programs except a game recording software,
    • hacks or cheats,
    • custom patches,
    • offline mode (because I personally dislike offline exploration).

This is my personal tribute to WoW Exploration.

That all being said, please sit back and enjoy!
(Make sure to watch in Fullscreen and 1080p :)

Love this. Saw a lot of my old stomping grounds. Was reminded that I never did reach the gnome in Skyreach before I left, heh.
Much respect for reaching all of those spots. From one explorer to another, we know the dedication it takes to hit 'em all like that.
You must have thoroughly enjoyed going back to all those places for the filming. Good editing too. Thanks for sharing! +rep!

There is a way for you to catch up on what you missed, you just need to retire retirement
Do you consider to come back in Legion?

Unfortunately no... I have no interest in current WoW exploration. Family and music come first and take up all my time.
If I did come back to WoW exploration, it would likely be on a Vanilla server.

This was amazingly well done. Made me feel all sorts of warm and cozy like back in the day. Really hoping to see more! <3

He went around the world, exploring all he could and found in his heart the one place he sought most. Now he must go home and be a family man. But if you do come back, we'll be here for you, with you.

Ha! Thanks, old friend. I do miss it all sometimes, but coming back I wouldn't get what I miss... it's all nostalgia.

(This is what I've been up to lately, if anyone is curious!
