Nice thread! Kinda off topic, but : I got my glitched CA mog at end of Cata, do you think a GM now would restore the real CA, considering that he won't be able to see logs back in Cata, so no way to tell if I really got it or if someone gave me transmog. I have all vanilla raiding fos, maybe I can argue with that...

So, looking back up to what akspa420 said about the instance servers. Not being very savvy with this stuff myself, I ask. If there simply isn't an instance server sending out the information from old Naxx 60, i.e the mobs and the portals. Then it's essentially impossible to ever find a way to locate said mobs?

Edit: And bewead, I have some friends who did that with CA and some T3 gear in Cata. I did it with Rhok'delar But lacking the Ony 60 FoS I was unable to convince a GM to bestow "my item" back upon me. Did get some Cryptstalker gear though. Don't know who thought I'd be running Naxx 40 without downing Ony, but whatever.

No. CRZ is a type of phasing, which came about long after 'standard' instancing - tech that is not even part of instancing of old raids.

I do not know if the server has the data for old instances being pushed out, or how such data would be interacted with, or requested. Perhaps take a look at how a private server handles instancing of raids, and go from there to devise a way to request 'other' data. That's my only guess as to whether or not it's possible to retrieve instance data that is otherwise off-limits.

I could imagine that the only changes from the start area from old naxx and naxx in icecrown is simply because they moved the whole instance from EPL to Northrend, in epl they didnt have flying so they had to make a platform under naxx where you had to pay with some items and gold before you could get teleported up there. Where in Northrend when flying was enabled it just made it alot easier, no need for a teleport platform. Just fly up there and go.

Some thoughts:
1. if you'd watch naxx trailer then you'd notice that there is 99% probability that this is the zone which was used for making it
2. if #1 is true then it used to be scripted once (for making the trailer) then mobs there (northrend test area) were implemented there with purpose

4. if 1-3 are true then they cleared this zone with wotlk expansion
5. stratholme is the earliest version of possible (IMHO) due missing atiesh summoning mark (and there is signpost which normally i don't think it's / was there

who says they had not copied the old naxx40 to a new (unknown) MapID ? (may to have no hackers who search for ways to get in? )

It's just an untextured Naxx model that's been there forever. Doesn't lead anywhere unfortunately.

I dont know how or where you got those screenshots from, but I can tell you thats the new Four Horsemen. Highlord Alexandros Mograine was swapped out for Baron Rivendare in Wrath.
