    Razorfen Kraul Exploration

Haven't made any video in a while, so I made a short film about one of my favorite places to explore

Ok, now I'm angry! (but not really hehe) I went to that EXACT same spot looking for the splotch for the Master of Exploration Hardmode thread! I knew that is where it was... but there was no spotch there on my screen when I went!! Is the color splotch somehow related to graphics level, perhaps shadows or something silly? This is going to bother me... I was there, maaaaan! I'll do a video tonight (or soon) and show you what I mean. No splotches there for me!

Damn you Warlocks, making everything look easy! Also, as mentioned in another thread, the jumps at 1:27 aren't necessary, as you can actually just mounted run up the hill behind you. I didn't think so, but then saw it in someone else's video, tried it and it works! Glad too, as I always found those jumps to be a pain. Fun video, thanks for sharing.

Not silly at all! I did the same jumps as you when I made my video (only I used rocket boots because I suck at wall jumping). Only days later, maybe even the next day, someone (Mista Kats with his Scrolls series, perhaps) put out a video showing the same mountain, but they just ran the hell up the mountain. I was like WTF I tried that forever, it doesn't work!! Then went back and tried some more, and you absolutely can wiggle your way up there with a normal mount. Try it at the spot directly behind you at the 1:27 point in your video. Maybe I'll do a little private video for OC showing both that climb up the mountain as well as the splotch (or lack thereof) and my graphic settings. Good stuff!

My guess is that it does have something to do with the graphics. The ground in the HM picture is in the shade of the nearby tree I guess different settings make it look different.

Thanks for posting your video, cleared some things up for me! And I am still a little doubtful about the "just ride up the mountain with your mount" thing. Have to try this one!

Ok, well of course I forgot the damn Darkwater Potions, so I will have to go back for the shadows / splotches...
But as promised, here is the video showing the spot where you can "wiggle your way up there with a normal mount". I show it twice, just so you don't think it was a fluke.

No worries! I know how helpful that can be... the jumps can be a pain in the ass, so this could possibly save someone some headache.

As for the shadows... I was correct... I missed out on completing a challenge due to graphic settings! D'oh! Won't make that mistake again!

On what settings do you usually run wow? The picture in EoTS I took was 'High' I think. Now I run on Ultra though
