Demon Leap + Bottled Tornado

There's several posts here that already explained how to use Demon Leap to jump up high first and then jump forward. You can use Bottled Tornado - Item - World of Warcraft to make the initial jump even higher. If used after your first leap, it wouldn't trigger the cooldown for the second leap. However, I was doing this today again and it did trigger the cooldown. Anyone who can confirm that this is fixed?

OT: I have used this method a lot in the past so i'm pretty sure they changed it. Have you tried it recently?
