Here's another way out without using Rocket boots. This one took about 5 minutes. It's extremely easy for anyone out there attempting this. Enjoy.

noticed a golden box below the Death Floor. so i went there. atleast i tryed
it was worth it. looks interesting:

You know I did see something golden as I died there. I assumed it was nothing but it was totally worth you going back and trying it yourself.

edit: Please let me know if the water under the "deathfloor" also makes you die, if you die because of you are to far "down" like when jumping off the edges in outland and so on!

well the deathfloor is like a horizontal layer. when you get below it you will die instantly.
look at the first picture i posted. you can see me on a small hill and the deathfloor is just below me.
(it was really close. the camera already wasnt following my char correctly when i walked a few steps deeper)
so its like this one:

because of you are to far "down" like when jumping off the edges in outland

P.S.: as you can easily notice there is a "cut" through the world right next to me.
there is also an invisible wall. so you cant get off the world.
