No it doesn't, HS doesn't save your current coordinates, rather the hardcoded ones which are common for everyone.

Nice find, there's a much easier way to get to the spot where you put your hs though.
Just mount bug here and you're there

Thanks for the feedback guys, I'll be doing a dwarven district one soon too. Since you can't fly under ground too far anymore my old way is obsolete. and this is not useless since if the ways under stormwind got patched, everyone with this would have access to it anyways. and setting your heartstone does set it at the exact location you stood at

The HS location = the location where the NPC HS Gossip packet was sent. In fact, with wow-plus and good timing, you can set your HS to GM Island or any other place you want

Agreed, I remember when there were free hacks like Wowplus I would be able to set my hearthstone virtually anywhere I would like (on the same continent.) And +3 rep to the OP for finding this. Too bad I am horde. I guess I will have to search and around and report back with a Horde Location.

Yep also confirmed by me, I still have my hunters hearth set to under Nordrassil from the start of cata
I use to go on my brothers account and use XYZ to set his hearth under the inn to a death trap lolololol

That's just pure mean, but I like it!

I remember doing similar things like that in Vanilla WoW where I would put some of my guild mates toons on the island South of Tanaris and deleted their hearthstone. Most of the time they weren't sure how to get off the island unless they died and took rez sickness or got a summon out of there.

i know a way to change walk paths of npcs, anyone knows a innkeeper that walks? Then i should be able to (after a really long time) Set my inn any where O.o
