[Exploration Video] - Sunken Temple... area behind the old entrance

The Temple of Atal'Hakkar (aka Sunken Temple) was originally an end-game level instance. When WoW patch 4.0.3a was implemented the size of the dungeon was severely reduced, and the entrance was moved to a different location in the temple.

The area behind the old instance portal and the hallway leading to it still exist in the game! In this video we show how to access this location. Be sure to check it out soon. Rumor has it that flying under the world will be fixed with the next patch, which will make this a hard area to reach. The music is the Idjut Boys 'Riding The Storm' on Jazzy Sport Records.

I don't mean to hijack your thread or anything, but you can actually place a Darkmoon tiger inside the instance, hop on it, and when you hop off it, you will reach the instanced version of this

Correct. You actually don't even need the Tiger. Simply DC through the instance portal... or even easier, walk up the first rock on your left path, as ParceQueFraiSe discovered in her previous thread here:

But that is still inside the instance... what I'm showing here is un-instanced... floating underneath Azeroth.

Oh sorry, I am somehow new to the exploration community, I don't know old things like this I have went exploring and got some stuff out of some instances, made screenshots and things

I have to say, as an almost solely non-instance explorer, this is an incredible find. I simply adore buildings under the world, and this is absolutely gigantic compared to most! I love all things troll, so the fact that it's troll-themed makes is just the icing on the cake. You've essentially given us one of the largest under-the-world hidden places since the Kara Crypts!

It's a damn shame that underworld flying has taken such a hit so we don't have as much time to enjoy this. We shall have to find a new way then! Nonetheless, I'm parking Strangle or my shaman here until MoP hits. I do love a cool chill-out spot

Nice find, I thought it was removed^^. It makes me think that I have to check what there are behind the invisible wall in the old instance before the dmf tiger don't work

Cool find! I think I remember accidentally running into this and thought it was pretty cool. Another exploration similar to this, but smaller is if anyone is on the PTR or Beta, the old entrances at Scarlet Monastery of Cathedral and Armory are actually still there behind the doors. I think you can get though being dead, but if they ever fix that you can simply fly up though the world and go into them. Note that you will get stuck, as the levers no longer work. +rep whenever the forum lets me again.
