[5.0.4] Skeletons near GM Island (Druid)

Hey, I tried to search about this but didnt find a thing so decided to post it!

I was on my way to GM Island on my druid, using the Displacer Beast talent method. After passing a few invisible walls and seeing GM Island on the horizon......
I saw something on the lower level... Pile of skeletons! You will see only a few in the photos, but there were atleast 20-30 skeletons in total. The little zone around me was full of them, just in a random order.
I tried to took screenshots from different angles, and you can also see a shadow of GM Island in one of the screenies.

I'm probly wrong, but isn't that how corpses look once the player has respawned?

Hmm interesting. How populated is your server? Maybe a bunch of people were trying to get there and died at that spot? Or maybe somehow that's where skeletons appear after they disappear? Kinda odd to have skeletons in the middle of nowhere like that.

My realm is medium populated, but I think that is a very strange spot for a bunch of people to die.

Yeah, unless your realm has a bunch of explorers who failed at getting to GM Island, I am completely clueless as to why there are skeletons there. Like Elektropop said and is correct, those are player skeletons from when you die. +rep for the discovery and for whatever reason they are there.

Back in the day, remember the DC'n method to get there? What if this is where the bodies landed??? And they never despawn since thats like... a spot which isnt really in the game
