I'm sorry to bump up this old thread... but someone just brought this exploration to my attention, and I can't believe I missed it when it was posted. This is just wicked.

I didn't even realize Sunken Temple had changed... shame on me! I will be doing something with this spot on my channel very soon, for sure.

First time I've seen this video as I haven't been around here long, but it is very interesting. I tried to recreate what ParceQueFraiSe did, but it looks like they simply walked through that wall - and it seems pretty impenetrable on live.

I had a look around the rest of ST to look for place to giant growth through and found nothing

Just Blink and DC though the portal and u will log in back in the old entrance!

MrHanky, when you're saying "Blink and DC"... you actually mean one or the other, correct? Most of these portals can either be blinked through or DC'ed through. I can't think of any where you would actually need to do both.

With the DC, you simply run toward the portal and DC before the loading screen pops up. Even if you log on and you're not "through" the portal, you'll still then be able to run through it.

Now, whether or not there is an invisible wall beyond that portal is an entirely different matter...

edit: Did it, got the timing of DC'ing wrong many times but once through...oh boy it's big down here. I completely see why they axed the size of it. I can hardly believe I ever completed a run of this place back in vanilla.

@WoWFingers It works, have do it few week ago. just walk on the roc and you will fall. maybe depend of the hitbox of character.

@WizardTrokair thx I confirm, for this exploration u can blink AND dc. for a mage this kind of exploration are very easy, just face the instance portal and type macro :

/cast Blink
/script PickupItem(22736)
/script PlaceAction(1)

work 100 % in first try. for other class, u must find the good timer when you walk through the portal and press dc macro.
it work for lot of instances : sunken temple, stratholme, scholomance, zul'farrak, barradin hold...

ParceQueFraiSe had posted the right macro, just click it, relog and you will be on the other side of the portal, becouse the Suken Temple portal can't be passed using only blink.
Other class need to use other methods.

^^ I understand that the macro works... all I was pointing out was that the Sunken Temple portal CAN be passed by any class by using only DC....you do not need the macro, or even blink.

One method, all classes. The whole blink thing is an extra step... only "needed" for those with timing issues.

The tip to check for the invisible wall with a pet or item is genius though. Good call! And such a wicked exploration... seeing all the talk it generated, I'm glad I bumped this one.

Done it as both a human male and female, just walk into the indented bit of the wall off the slab of stone.
