Exploration Movie: A Paladin's Journey

It's over ! After 7 months, I propose you after "A Warlock's Journey (Exploration Movie: A Warlock's Journey)", my second exploration movie.



More than 1 TB and 8 hours of shots for only 32 min used.
This second movie asked me more work and implication than "A Warlock Journey". But I am happy to have finished it.
In first part, I propose you classic exploration, as the majority in my first movie.
In second part, a small review, with the places of every expansions during their creation.
And in the third part, places dedicated for tests, such as the mythical "Development".

A big thanks to Kyuby for taking the role of the Paladin, and for helping me during the seven months this project took !

Also, special thanks to Blooppsy and Møskau, for some scenes couldn't have been done without them.

Thanks to the RIdPEF for so many things !

This movie was made in a purely artistic goal. All of the zones were created by Blizzard.
Thanks to them for making us dream by creating those wonderful places !

As I've told you, good job. I'm not fan of using Machinima Tools too often, but it's really well done.
My favorite part is when the Paladin escapes from Caverns of Time till she reaches Karazhan. Absolutely excellent music, a real eargasm

Oh, jesus - The unreleased content! The model-editing required! And THE SKYBOXES!

This is truly a piece of art that is showing the full potential of RidPEF and its members. I have not much to say, because it's perfect, so I will let this picture talk:


This was posted on an anonymous image-board a couple of days ago. A guy with no other evidence than a lot of insider-knowledge (that's the way it works with those boards) posted, telling he was a gamemaster. I asked some questions regarding exploration, and he answered.
It is probably not true, but let's stay in the hope. If it, however, is true, Blizzard will probably kiss 'n hug each other when they see this movie. It deserves to be seen by all the members of the staff! (So who hacks the powerpoint for next Blizzcon? Kthxbai!)

Just.. Just keep finding these unreleased things. It makes me feel that everything is possible.

If i'm not mistaken Ridpef won't give the working MPQ but you can give hints or help us getting there on our own, would you mind telling us something about how to get to all these places ? Where to seek and stuff : p

Most of it is not actually that hard, just very, VERY time-consuming. We will probably never see The Abyssal Maw, but the alpha files can easily be converted to cataclysm files with Mjóllnir's splendid converter. Actually, if the files first get retrieved, a lot of zone-renaming, skybox-placing and generally just handling ~ 10'000 files at once is left to do.
It can however be done.

Regarding Emerald Dream, that one should most be able to do (without skybox & with light-green texture tho) with minimum knowledge - It's still in the game files, folks!

Outland alpha was a first to me (other than hellfire peninsula), wotlk alpha is also new, the vanilla alpha i don't even know how you did to get it !

It's not Vanilla Alpha, but Vanilla Beta / Release. I can't tell too much about Vanilla Alpha right now, but... I'm pretty sure that you'll be vomiting tons of rainbows soon©, and that ponies and unicorns will invade the world. Believe me.

Google is your friend. The tools required aren't private. And Andros gave a huge hint.

None of the places that Khamul showed are private. The files can be found on the interwebz. I'm 99% sure that some of them can be downloaded from this forum.

Regarding the alpha files, See Alpha - WoWDev for the latest info about those files. Mjolina is working on reversing the alpha files for an upcoming project :P
