Before the worldport command got nerfed on the PTR, I explored the old SM and took a video of it for you guys.

Old SM is the original SM instance before it was split into four parts.
IMO they should have left it the way it was, looks so much better.

/console worldport 44 105 0 50 was the one I posted, with a little experimenting(maybe on a private server or something) you can get it to work. you will probably have to send yourself a bit more forward past the room that looks like Herod's room, because there was(in the PTR) a door there. considering it was already posted I just thought I'd help out a bit. good luck.
EDIT: by already posted I mean the coords, not the video.
EDIT2: I just watched your video and there wasn't a door there, so either you model edited it out(did a good job on it if you did) or they removed it at a later time past when I went there. oh and it is a pretty good video, so +rep.

Nope, for a few reasons:

1) Portal doesn't work.
2) Even if you managed to instance swap, there is still an invisible wall a few steps after.
3) There are a bunch of doors I had to remove with model editing, so you would have to do that too (got the object's names from a private server using the object select command, then looked around for it in the MPQ).
