    Explore anywhere (hunter)

There are no posts here that actually explain how to do this, so I'm posting it! This could fall under the exploits section, but seeing it's only practical use is with exploration I'm posting here.

I'm aware that a lot of people consider this common knowledge, but even more have no idea it is possible. This thread is aimed at those are unaware. Please keep this in mind.

This is VERY VERY VERY simple. VERY.

Step 1) Log into your hunter
Step 2) Get to level 14
Step 3) Type /m into your chat box
Step 4) Click the "New" button to create a new macro
Step 5) Copy+Paste the following into your macro box:
    Code:
    /cast !Eagle Eye
Step 6) Bind the macro to a hotkey (0-9, F1-F12, etc)
Step 7) Cast the macro and select a point far off in the distance
Step Repeat Step 7 as many times as you wish for desired results

What this allows you to do is "chain" Eagle Eye casts and cast one Eagle Eye from "inside" the other, thus allowing you to look far far off into the distance.

I hope many people find this useful!

    Examples:

(In case you're wondering, I was doing kinetic bombs on heroic Blood Princes so my dps sucked )

Just saying, but this has been working since Vanilla and you don't need a macro, you can even click it out of you spell book. I do this in BG's as a shaman all the time for node checking in AB.

    Shammy spell is Far Sight.

The hunter spell is different. Clicking on your spellbook icon simply cancels the spell. You do need a macro.

Please test out what you are saying next time before posting about it.

And you obviously didn't read my post.

I knew about this for a while now, it's only recently I've made a hunter. I did not know the macro required to do this, so +Rep Nice work!

It's indeed common sense for many of us but I guess it's a good post for those who didn't know :-).

I wouldn't exactly call this exploring, as it doesn't require you to ACTUALLY get there, but I suppose it's good you posted this, seeing I don't remember seeing it on the forums (although it IS common knowledge). A source of some sort is good, so good. Also, you can get this same affect as a Shammy I believe, but without the macro.
