Try not giving up after 1 attempt? You have to get the timing perfectly and it can be tricky. I just used this bug about 30 minutes ago and it worked fine.

Does anybody know if it's possible to be summoned to normal azeroth once you're out of normal Ebon hold? Or does the anti-teleportation thing cover the entire zone?

Try to hold down W while pressing the cancel button and if it doesn't work, try using the "cancel-spell" in the actionbar..not the cancelbutton at the top..they're slightly different

I guess you cannot be teleported but I will give it a try now
edit: tested on EU-Blackrock 5min ago..doesn't work also tried to get into the unknown zone and that doesn't work, either.
