Hi. I conducted a rapid search of this, and it only came up with one hit, an old thread where this was found on a private server, and the pictures have been deleted. I found this while exploring Programmer's Isle on retail WoW. Server is Dalaran [EU].

There's a small place on that island where the map-info says Jeff's SE, NW, SW, NE Changed Quandrants. A reference to Jeff Kaplan maybe? Does anyone know a bit more about this?

How did you get to Programmer's Isle on retail wow?

Model swapping is the only way since the adts were removed around early TBC.

It was little more complicated than that... but essentially yes. We used a strategy for which almost all credit goes to the dwarf death-knight on my screenie.

Oh and, the skybox is actually one that's on developper's Island if it were still accessible in game, funnily enough? I like it too.

Look at the last picture for the programmer isle screenies.

The area is in-game since 2003.

No the skybox isn't the same as the one in your screenies , developer island had a normal skybox just a normal sky.

Yep, I know that.
What I was merely stating is that the sky in my screenies is a sky that exists in map 451, the map of those islands. It's where I found it.

If I remember right, that skybox was used for Crystalsong Forest during the Wrath beta.

I'm afraid I won't for two reasons:

1) The technique getting there was developped collaboratively, so I have no right.

2) I don't like spoonfeeding. There are many guides to operate this kind of exploration on MMOwned, and then it's trial and error.
