My Levitation Ventures: [Deadmines Secret/Grim Batol: Help!/Emerald Dream Portals]

Hello everybody. I know that there is a whole slew of threads showing off one's exploration with the levitate bug, so I figured I would throw in my 2 cents of my ventures with it. ITT: I'll show you the Deadmines Secret, Me at the tippy top of Grim Batol, and last but certainly not least, the two inactive portals to the Emerald Dream - all done on a live server, with only one being (obviously) instanced.

Note: I will not show anyone how to get to any of the spots shown below in the SS's.

Do you have any more information on those two green gas clouds? I recently came across them myself using levitate and wondered what their connection was with the Emerald Dream.

Rumor has it that they used to be portal triggers to the ED, but that was long ago removed. They are just "decoration" now.

Well, what I do know is that those green clouds (a.k.a. Emerald Dream Gates) are how you were able to get into the Emerald Dream on a live server, but there was only two times you could actually of gotten in, both patches, of which, escape me. Been a while since I've looked it up, but anyways, you used a /sit /stand macro to be able to lag yourself "in" the portals and then you had to Slow Fall your way down. That's what I know about the portals. but I'd like to point out that they are now inactive, and I don't think there is a way to use them to re-get into the Dream (although if you actually found a way, you'd be picked up by the Warden, ported out, and then awaiting a confrontation with a GM, in which he or she would most likely ban you.

From my knowledge, Warden does not scan ingame-actions, only process-affecting things.
Even though there might be server-sided scripts that detect players in certain locations...and then your gm thing :-)

i don't think so, hyjal is 1 of those locations right? well i visited that place and nothing happened ^^

Yep, true. I just got ported out. I walked past the green clouds the other day too.

That green smoke seems really out of place and I never knew about that "help" sign. Thanks for the cool post.

All of those locations are old, but the gas clouds arent portals to ED, they are just random clouds that happen to be green on the mountain of hyjal..
