[Used For/Reference] Ghoul NPC In DK Starting Area.

In the starting area for the Death Knights, there is a mine where you have to use a device and convert miners into ghouls. Outside of the mine there is another type of ghoul which name escapes me. This ghoul however, looks EXACTLY like a Hunter from Left 4 Dead. Not only does it look like one, but it pounces high into the air like one with its arms spread out, and rips at the targets chest like one as well.


I'd post a SS, but the latest patch ****ed up my WoW...Some type of Corrupted File.

If anyone could find the name of that ghoul, I'd be very happy and give you a hug.

EDIT: Maybe WoW took it from L4D Trailers etc.?

It is called a Geist "poltergeist" they are fairly common since WOTLK came out... there is one clinging to the wall in the crypt by that scarlet town too...

Ok, so does that mean that L4D got it from WoW? 'Cause seriously, they do the same exact things.

Warcraft Ghouls has been in the game before wotlk, and in earlyer warcaft games aswell, i doubt Blizzard "stole" this from L4D

Also the Geists crawl similar to the Stalkers in Mass Effect. God i ****ing hate those things.
