[Discovery / What the hell?] Strand of the Ancients above Trisifal Glades

Ok. This was taken on a live Blizzard server.

What Happened: I just completed my first crappy Strand of the Ancients BG. I was just teleporting out, and I disconnected. I actually logged back in and found my screen like this.

Since :worthless: . I was in luck and captured some Screen Shots. (Note. This is also on my user page under my Albums. No. I will not block out my name due to it also being my Forum Name.)



Above Lordamere Lake:



As you can see there is the Graveyard banner to the right. Along with a destroyed gate.

Someone please explain this before i get crazy from this exitement (i know i did type it wrong)

What I did was I lost a Strand of the Ancients BG. (The new 71+ one) and as I was teleporting out my Comcrap (Comcast) cable modem crashed and caused me to disconnect. I logged back in when it was back up and running.

I saw this screen and said "Hey. I can post this on MMOwned and possibly display this as proof that most of the areas in WoW are layered ontop of eachother!"

So I posted it. This was caused by Lagging and Disconnecting, no illegal use of exploits or hacking was involved.

Zee Kill. There is no true way to get here unless you have lag, Comcrap and Disconnecting issues.

Well you're wrong about the layered on top of each other.

I've had this happen in different zones multiple times since release, UC under Stonetalon, Theramore under Wetlands. It is always preceded by a disconnect. But it has nothing to do with zones being stacked on each other.

Correction. I do not use any world building MPQs OR MPQs that contain editted materials (Models, Skins etc). The only MPQs in my Data folder are the ones from Blizzard.

Seems as it loaded the wrong map when you DC'd.

There was a massive post about the whole "layering" that blizzard supposedly does a while back.

I think we eventually figured that it was just a client side glitch, whereupon a disconnect will cause data to mismatch, showing the doodads from one map on the terrain of another.

Nothing new here, other than the fact that it happens with SoTA bg.

...issues, we ask that you delete the "WDB" folder located within your World of Warcraft Directory.
