i think the OP is refering to the way the spell in the screenshot is spherical, thus being a reference to the spherical spaceships used by the borg in star trek

but wait.... OMG!!! paladins bubble is spherical? that means it must be a borg reference as well!!!! and mage portals! and anything else in the game thats spherical!

Ok so the spell effect is spherical. Its not a reference, just like the magtheridon fight isn't a star trek reference. (Cubes etc)
