All that is required is an epic mount. I haven't tested if it works with a 60% mount. This is a very simple method, no hacks, no slowfall, no rocket boots. I've been using this method for years.

you dont have to repost everything for every patch that happens. you can still do this when wotlk comes out to, so no need to repost it again when it comes. this also effect troll village route. its alrdy here jsut search.
(idc if you tried to contribute, find something new or make a guide or something if you want rep)
This particular method is very old. Blizzard attempted to fix this, but it's still possible to make the first jump. Also, when searching for "northshire" the only ways to get up there require Rocket Boots. This one does not.
heh cool man
Just writing to verify that I did make it over the first jump today (2008/08/31). It was really hard because it looks like there is an invisible wall (looks invisible? haha) that keeps pushing you back when you jump. I was just about to get on here and ask for tips of how to get up because I had been trying for about 10 minutes to make the jump but then I kindof jumped toward the right side of the ledge (relative to where you start the jump) and I went over without a problem.
Just FYI, it may take a while to make the jump. I'll write again if I make it all the way to the waterfalls.
i can confirm that this works, i did it as a deathknight on the official beta.
