Hunter pet food bug

I just noticed that hunter's pets can eat foot that is higher level than the pet, so you could feed a lvl 1 pet lvl 70 food.. It's pretty nice for getting their happiness up fast

Well you have, since WoW was born, been able to feed pets with lvl 1 food, but it would require like..281376316 pieces of it.
So does it go up slowly or fast as if you feeded it with 70 food?
You could save tons of gold.

So, yes, feeding a hunter's pet with a very high ranked food will increase it's happiness, but not more than the food ranked ~5 levels from your pet. I feel my 70 pet with Smoked Talbuk Vension and he gets 35 happiness a tick. And this is not a bug.

Well Idk if this is true because ive been 70 on my hutner for like omglong

but I know I cant feed him low level food

35 happiness per tick is the max you can get. It's just a waste of money to feed it higher food than needed. For lvl 70, you can feed it lvl 55 food and still get max happiness from it.

it's not the food for pet that is gonna ruin your economy, its the arrows. i my self use MH arrows and they hurt pretty bad.

tbh if you can't afford food for your pet so you need to buy lower level food you suck as a hunter

From what I know. With my level 70 hunter you can't feed your pet food above 2x its level. But this was when I was leveling my hunter to 70 pre-2.3 Maybe the changed it.
