Potential TBC Exploit

Upon reading the 2.0.3 patchnotes today, I stumbled upon this unfortunate line:

- Players must be level 58 and above to enter the Dark Portal, and must have The Burning Crusade installed

Now, of course you're not going to be able to go to the outlands without TBC installed on your computer - you won't have the models.

However, do you really have to be 58? Or could a warlock summon a lower-level friend?

Also, if they have a portal to a main Outlands city, there is potential that a mage could port a lower-level friend.

None can be confirmed nor proven until the release of TBC, but I'm looking forward to testing these out.

does beta have a level 58 cap on who can enter the portal though?

I dont actually know, I never transfered my 58 Rogue to beta.

Actually,Blizz made it impossible to summon anyone to Outland.
I think i've read on some forum somewhere...

that's dumb. that would be a long walk, all the way to the DP every time..

I'm guessing that they'll make the Outlands work the same way as instances, where you can't summon someone on the outside (Anywhere outside Outlands) to the inside (Outlands). I'm hoping Blizzard will make the means to getting to the DP quick and easy. If not, there's always the method of summoning people to the DP, whether it be friends for free or random people for a fee.

ofc it's not.. he meant that you won't be able to summon anyone outside of it in, but you can summon people inside of it around to different areas, as you would in an instance. he didn't mean there would only be one group per Outlands

Aye I have beta and a 60 lock...no summons sadly >.< But it would be funny to see 40 lvl 1 gnomes running through outland now wouldn't it?

Treyska, you worded it much better than I could! If my previous post implied that the Outlands was an instance, I apologize. I meant that Outlands isn't an instance, but merely that the logic of summoning would work the same way as an instance.
