[Trivial] Sisters of Pain in BT

While clearing the Mother Shahraz trash in Black Temple, there are mobs called "Sister of Pain" which will put up a shield called "Shell of Pain". Every time you deal any damage to them with this sheild up, you receive 2500 back.

However, I noticed that if you used an ability like Sweeping Strikes or Blade Flurry while targeting a nearby mob (not the Sister of Pain), dealing damage to the Sister of Pain does not return any damage to you.

I know this is trivial but I just thought I would share it for those Warrior and Rogues who were tired of having to put their hands in their pants when they put Shell of Pain up.

    Let me clarify this:

Abilities such as Cleave, Whirlwind, etc will still make you take damage. That is because these abilities "physically" hit the the Sister of Pain even though she is not targetted.

However, abilities such as Blade Fury and Sweeping Strikes do not "physically" target the Sister of Pain when dealing damage to her thus you won't take the 2500 through use of such abilities.

This was tested last night in BT by our DPS Warrior using Sweeping Strikes and by a Rogue using Blade Fury and neither took damage.

My main is a mage. Any mob that puts up any sort of reflective shield, whether against pysical damage or spell damage or both, can be hit with any non-direct aoe damage skill. So, whether in BT or SSC, as soon as a reflective shield goes up, I just go in and blast Dragon's Breath, Blast Wave and Arcane Explosion. You know your own class' aoe skills, so you will know what to use.

And I just found your site today. Awesome stuff.

Since these abilities aren't physically hitting the secondary target do you know if that target gets a chance to dodge?

I ask because I was pvping one day and another rogue popped his evasion and started attacking me while i was killing a priest. i popped blade flurry and it seemed as though the rogue didnt dodge a single swing but i havent gotten the chance to confirm.

EDIT: I actually did get a chance to confirm. the secondary target cannot prevent the damage(save armor mitigation) provided the primary target doesnt avoid the attack itself.
