Well if you do, follow this:
(I have only tested in AV)

1. When in a BG (AV), logout (20 sec)
2. At char select wait 3-5 sec, hit Enter.
3. When u log in again, FAST press Enter and type "/afk" Enter again.
4. And when you get out of the BG, you should not have Deserter
