Do you have to change anything in the script?
So that it says your characters name not just like Player has left the guild.. Etc?
This isn't an exploit, just something to mess with ppls heads
you have to change "Player_Name" into "1337bunny" for example
"You don't have the permission to do that" it says
What you want is more like this.
/script GuildSetMOTD("\13\124cffffff00 has left the guild.")
So it would look something like
/script GuildSetMOTD("Karazhan tonight at 7:30, be on time!\13\124cffffff00Superhuntar has left the guild.")

Aww man, making me feel left out! At least link back to the original post; there are a couple good variations of the macro to help people abuse their GMotD powers. By the way, legit guild quit messages don't contain player chat links like your version of the script does.
Here's the original from three or four months ago, for anyone interested in where this came from.

Edit: Wait, nevermind! I missed your subtle edit the first time, but you actually fixed this for 2.3! Good idea replacing '\n' with '\r'; +Rep, my good sir!

This was the content of my previous post before a mod changed it because he thought it wasn't "nice" enough. And yes, I realize that it does the same thing basically, but setting the GMotD twice actually looks MORE suspicious, not less, and is more complicated than needed.
Hell, maybe people will figure out how to make item links that open up whispers to others.
