Have more than 5 (Unique) "Soul flame of ___"
I did the daily boss from nether portal for Demon Hunters. x3 Soul flame of castigation dropped and I noticed I already had the cap. I used one and after about 10 seconds the boss despawned and the rest were sent to my mail. I now have 5 in bags and x2 sent by the postmaster for up to 30 days.
So yeah kill boss but don't loot it, wait for boss to despawn and have them sent to your mail. Before you say "this isn't an exploit etc etc." or whether its clever use of game mechanics, I'm sure it will be helpful to some (myself included).

the way i determine an exploit is in 2 ways. 1st does Blizzard want us to do this? 2nd do we profit in some way beyond the norm because of this possible exploit? if the answer to both is yes then i consider it to be an exploit. If you have a set cap for something that means blizzard for some reason has decided we cant have more than that set amount & if you find a way to extend said cap then by definition you have found an 'exploit'

That's a really useful definition. Exceeding a cap must indicate that the feature is not working as intended, or there would be no cap, hence it is an exploit.
Must spread blah.
