Keep Sanctified Wrath buff without talent.

Hey all!

I usually queue for skirms while doing my Tanaan dailies to reset my cd's (particularly master hunters seeking crystal). Today I had wings up when I won the skirm, I was specced for Sanctified Wrath. Afterwards I left the arena and found I kept the buff up that reduced the CD of HoW and tested it out on a mob, it did indeed reduce the CD even without wings up. I swapped talents for Divine Purpose and found that I STILL kept the Sanc. Wrath buff.

I also went inside HFC to see if zoning would remove the buff, it did not. Screenshot for proof, I have DP talent chosen, and i'm in HFC with buff up.

TL/DR
1. Talent Sanc wrath and queue for Skirm.
2. Win the Skirm with wings up
3. Sanc Wrath buff stays permanently after leaving arena.

Does not work. The buff can be up whilst avenging wrath is up (when outside of skirmish) but after avenging wrath ends so does the sanctified wrath buff. Guessing it'd be decent in raids but you have to leave before boss, skirmish (win it), summon back to raid, and it's only 1 AW it works for

Hi, I had the same experiences as OP.
While it's ofcourse a good find I still think it's better to be able to use the AW Cooldown for 50% extra healing for it's duration. If you switch talent and use AW again the buff will still fade, so you only can use the advantage for as long as you won't use AW or you can't use AW at all for the whole duration you're willing to heal

Purely visual. 20sec normal AV, 30sec with talent. Follow this method, SW icon stays in the buffs but popping wings again with holy avenger specced for example shows AV duration of regular 20sec. The duration is not working but the CD reduction indeed.

It's definitely not visual when you can hammer of wrath ever 4 seconds whilst holy avenger is specced. Can't remember the duration of AW but that wasn't what the OP mentioned anyway. He said you can cast hammer as frequently as if you had sanctified wrath up.

indeed, corrected. duration is the same but GCD is reduced.
