Nigh-Invulnerable Shaman in Enemy Capital Cities

Effect: This method produces a very large and relatively fast ticking psudo-HoT on the shaman, healing them for 200k to 1M every few seconds (depending on gear and the particular capital city chosen). This psudo-HoT can last up to 25 days and cannot be dispelled or removed.

Use: With this large psudo-HoT rolling the shaman becomes pretty much unkillable since they will be healed to full every one to two seconds. The only way to kill the shaman would be to do their max HP in damage to them in under a second, which is a very difficult task even for 5 to 10 enemy players.

How it works: The achievement of this effect is the culmination of three separate elements. The first is stacking Flame Shock to multiple hour or day long durations. The second is the large increase in damage high levels do to lower level targets. The final aspect is the use of Glyph of Flame Shock. By combining these three things together we produce a Flame Shock on a low level target (specifically a level 60 target dummy) which lasts for anywhere from hours to days. Every few seconds the Flame Shock ticks for around 20k-150k (depending on gear and buffs) due to the increased damage high levels do on low level targets. 45% of that damage done becomes healing due to Glyph of Flame Shock. By stacking Flame Shocks on multiple target dummies these smaller heals add up into a total psudo-HoT that together heals upward of hundreds of thousands of HP per second.

    Steps to replicate:
    1. Spec into Enhancement
    2. Make Glyph of Flame Shock active
    3. Find a low level target dummy (Dummy 1) that is located in close proximity to another target dummy (Dummy 2)
    4. Cast Flame Shock on Dummy 1
    5. Cast Lava Lash on Dummy 1
    6. Cast Lava Lash on Dummy 2
    7. Cast Lava Lash on Dummy 1
    8. Cast Lava Lash on Dummy 2
    9. Repeat steps 5 through 8 until you are satisfied with the remaining duration of your Flame Shock (a few hours to a few days remaining)
    10. Find a new pair of target dummies and repeat this process until all target dummies in your chosen capital city have a long duration Flame Shock debuff
    11. Enjoy your massive psudo-HoT

    Tips:
    • Practice stacking the Flame Shock duration in a friendly capital city before venturing into enemy territory. It takes a few minutes to get a good duration going.
    • The more Flame Shocks you have out the more healing you will receive. Even though they might not tick for much on the higher level target dummies and raid boss dummies, it doesn't hurt to have Flame Shocks running on them.
    • Use enemy guards or players to transfer long duration Flame Shocks over to far away target dummies so you don't have to re-stack the duration from scratch.
    • The max amount of healing you greatly depends on the amount of low level target dummies a capital city has. Orgrimmar for example appears to have the most level 60 dummies, offering the greatest maximum heal potential of all the capital cities. Experiment to see what the max psudo-HoT you can get in each city.
    • The glyph works zone wide, so feel free to leave the target dummy area to fight in any other part of the city.
    • Some cities will allow the psudo-HoT to work even in the nearby zone while others do not. For example Stormwind dummies will still heal you anywhere in Elwynn Forest, while Orgrimmar dummy heals do not carry over to Durotar.
    • For harder hitting Flame Shocks (and thus larger heals) utilize the Elemental Fusion talent and Unleash Elements.
    • For quicker stacking of the Flame Shock duration, use Echo of the Elements talent.
    • Changing specs does not remove the active Flame Shock debuffs, so feel free to swap to Elemental or Resto after your psudo-HoT is rolling.
    • Changing talents or glyphs does not remove the active Flame Shocks either. Careful not to remove your Glyph of Flame Shock though.
    • Because how the glyph works, there is no visible psudo-HoT on your character for enemies to see. It only appears as “Flames of Life” in the combat log.

nice find dude tested this and it works, if you apply the debuff to multiple target dummies the healing effect stacks up nicely, however im trying to find use of this .. can't think of any except for maybe solo city kings?

Very well done. I knew there was a guy doing this, and I figured out the neverending flameshock aspect but not how to implement it fully.
Whether you worked it out from scratch or reverse-engineered it that's kind of brilliant.

Btw This is on bug report, as someone was in SW doing this yesterday. It will probably get fixed soon.

I registered with this site just to give you a heads up on this..

I tried this out in Orgrimmar and it totally worked, so I was super stoked. I went over to Stormwind and applied flame shock with lava lash to all the major training dummies, and proceeded to have a blast running around the city messing with everyone. I mainly just fought and ran from guards, but occasionally some other players would attack me, so I fought back. Stormwind is super dead (population-wise) on my server, so I decided to try hitting up Ironforge (massive success...and failure).

I flew into Ironforge and landed right next to the target dummies and immediately started applying flame shock and lava lash with the hopes I could outlast the people already attacking me. I managed to do it (like a boss hehe). This is where it gets interesting. There were toooonnnss of people in Ironforge. Within 5 minutes I had about 40 people attacking me and trying their best to Death Grip me over to the main 3 Dwarf dudes. After about 10 minutes of non-stop 40 v 1, they finally managed to get me within range of the dwarf bosses, and I was shortly dispatched. Seems the only possible way to kill an Enhancement Shaman with this buff is to be able to one-shot them. Luckily for me, I had a free rez

Just a second or two after they initially killed me, I resurrected myself and immediately started the insanity all over again. This time I ran as fast as I could to get away from the bosses, so I couldn't be death gripped towards them again. I managed to last another 10 minutes before the damage to my gear was sufficient to out two main pieces of gear into the red (non-usable). They managed to kill me a second time, so I ran back to my corpse and rezzed in a nearby building, so no one could see me. I still had 2 pieces of gear out of commission, so I knew I couldn't go balls-to-wall again, or I'd just die, so I needed to be able to mount up on my vendor mount in order to fix the situation. I tried to mount up, but was immediately attacked and killed a few minutes later.

Now, for the super trippy part. My game started bugging out hardcore. I was sent to the graveyard outside Ironforge, like the first time. But this time, when I tried running back up the hill, I kept hitting an invisible barrier that would teleport me backwards about 30 yards. And the barrier kept moving. It seemed to be happening randomly. I finally managed to get back into Ironforge by moving forward in short distances, pausing, moving forward, pausing. That seemed to stop whatever buggy issue that was teleporting me backward.

So, I get into Ironforge alive for the last time, mount up, repair, and go balls-to-the-wall crazy on everyone in the Auction House/Bank area. This lasted for about 10 minutes before I was suddenly disconnected from the game. When trying to log back in, a lock symbol appeared next to the "Play" button in the battle.net client that said I was suspended for the next 3 days.

A few minutes later I received an email with a final notice from Blizzard saying that I was in violation of using third party software...utterly incorrect. I submitted a ticket with Blizzard explaining exactly what happened and all I got was a few different copy & pasted pre-written responses telling me that their initial findings were correct (complete bullshit) and that the suspension won't be lifted because I violated the terms of service.

    Final thoughts:
It was insanely fun to be unstoppable for a time and 100% worth the suspension. I've never felt so powerful in the history of my warcraft days, so I'm totally cool with it. I just wish they'd actually give me a proper response to my ticket instead of lying about my using third party software. I only did what I did because of a bug on their part. I'm not some hacker, ****ing with their game lol.

Anywho, have fun! But beware the consequences.

PS - This was my first and only violation in 8 years of playing/paying for this game. 8 years of loyalty and making use of a bug gives me a final notice...

Sounds like you have a FEW witnesses, that may have reported you in this small bug though

Also usually 3 day suspensions are not repeal-able, that's the same type of suspension I received for the Isle of thunder box 'dupe' even though I only did it twice, but I did post it in elite getting a few others to do it some more...

Also it makes me guess this is outdated now...
