Getting to Son of the Beast (UBRS)

I'm sure everyone has read the method to fight the level 100 ogre in UBRS. Well my strategy takes it a step further to get to Son of the Beast, an optional boss in lvl 100 UBRS.

You'll need to do the same method as before to getting across. Rocket boots-->Glider, etc... But before you do the method you'll need to aggro the leader of the one of the mobs from the room previous, a "Black Iron Elite" I believe. They are the mob commanding the three "Black Iron Veterans."

Once you have killed off the veterans, do the jump quickly and get to the other side where you previously aggro'd the lvl 100 ogre. Once you're there, the Elite will run through walls and meet you on the other side. You'll need a healer to keep you alive, but tuck up against the gate and wait for him to cast "Intimidating Shout." When he does that, there is a good chance (doesn't happen every cast, but he will continue to cast it ~45s-1m) you'll get feared to the other side.

So you can either take turns doing this, which could take awhile, or isolate a priest to get feared to the other side who can grip teammates through the gate (yes this works as of today).

Things this can be useful for:

- Pulling packs back to the arena to clear your way to the boss
- Using invisibility potions to get to Son of the Beast in order to fight him in the nook where Beast used to be
- Explore other areas of the instance by jumping off the edge in the next room to float down to other parts.

I was a blood DK and able to take ~3 hits before dying in ilvl 541 gear. So if you can manage to clear to him and drag him to the arena somehow, he is potentially doable. Hope you guys have some fun with this strategy. I've been a member of this community for quite some time and this is my first post. Hopefully it was done well.

+rep I could have sworn blizz hotfixed this tho, just because my previous attempts at new ways of farming the trash and killing other mobs past the arena were fixed. So if they forgot something i recommend moving this to elite So it s not hotfixed anytime soon.

When did you last use this method? There are no longer mobs behind the gate and the mobs that are there, you cannot attack.

In your image the date said its the 14th..thats 3 days ago definitely hotpatched.

I explored everything past that gate yesterday with a friend and I can confirm that there's nothing there. I actually specifically went into that nook where Son of Beast was and there was not a single mob.

He was, along with the rest of the bosses and mobs easy to kill with a good geared group. The only boss I haven't killed is the last one as it got hot fixed as we were trying it...
