Yes, I have a horde character on Stormscale EU and invited my horde friend from Ragnaros EU. Nothing pops up on his screen and it says he instant-declines.

How did you manage to invite? If I (on stormscale) invite my friend on another realm he insta-declines.

He needs to be your battletag friend, /invite name@realm does not work most of the times.

I did it via battlenet. I have his battletag, I opened my friends list and choose the Invite option after clicking his name.

Perhaps it has to do with the fact that both Stormscale and Ragnaros are parts of the connected realms thingie. just my guess

Thats a good point, but I tried inviting my friend on his character on Agamaggan EU and it didnt work either...

do not attempt this, if the char that does the invite is not lvl 90. We just found the reason behind the problem that Peter Pim had.

I've reported this problem since yesterday, yes someone with lvl 90 tried to inv me, yes he is my b.net friend still insta declines when he's trying to invite me.

I've tried it 5 minutes ago with a Horde 90 from Stormscale EU inviting my Horde 90 from Ragnaros. The invite worked, but only found Vyragosa and some minor rares. No TLPD, no Aoenaxx, no Poseidus.

Tried it with someone from Twisting Nether, no Aeonaxx and no TLPD after about 10 minutes of searching each.

Also tried with someone from Eredar for Poseidus, no luck either.
