Stay mounted inside buildings for a much longer time!

Hey guys. Long time since I made a tutorial here, but here we go.

I use this technique all time, and I've now played WoW for so many years, that I know this isn't normal. It's very simple though!

When you enter a room, don't use ANY of your keyboard keys. Don't hold down W when flying. Don't navigate using A or D. Don't touch ANY keys.
Instead what you want to do is either use both mouse keys (left & right) or put on auto-run (Numlock or backwards on mouse). Then you can easily navigate using your right mouse button and moving the mouse.

I have a theory that whenever you move using your keys, it will check if you are inside. If you are, you will be dismounted. You can test this easy. Go to Summer's Rest and stand outside the main entrance like here: http://puu.sh/8CLTM.jpg
Then try to fly in and up so you hit this platform: http://puu.sh/8CLVO.jpg

Try using your keys first. Impossible, right? Now try using your mouse/auto-run. It will be much easier.

    TO SUM UP:
Use your mouse buttons to move and navigate. NOT your WASD keys or arrows.

If you request a video I'll make sure to put one up as soon as possible. Please test this easy exploit out and post if it worked for you. Sorry if this was a repost, but I haven't found a thread about it.

    Thanks!

I always noticed this in WSG. I could go through the tunnel and up to the flag room on my mount when only using my mouse. Pretty cool.

Interesting theory! I do not generally use keyboard for movement (I use two mouse buttons as you describe above), and have never noticed too much of a delay on dismount... but not ever using the keyboard I may just think what I experience is normal. Worth looking into!

http://www.ownedcore.com/forums/worl...t-indoors.html (Mount Indoors) is something similar but not the same idea. Also "Click to move" is a great tool for this. If you, right click on an npc/enemy far away while mounted with click to move, more than half the time you will also stay mounted. Didn't know if it meant anything so I never decided to post xP

Not the same.. not the same at all.
Never tried "click to move", but I would imagine it's quite annoying to move around with.

This is because, as you said, WASD will update your position. Also whats funny is that backpaddle will update faster than running forward (W). All you druids out there have probably noticed that theres a delay before you can flight form when leaving a building, but try hitting backpaddle (S) quickly, it will update your position and let you mount instantly.

Can't imagine using keyboard for moving instead of mouse with click to move myself I always fly into shrine up the balcony and usually land and get dismounted in the room with portals, instead of running up the stairs. I thought thats pretty common sense.

As I tried to explain, it is not a server delay. It's because it doesn't update as often as if you were to use your keys.

So why did you feel the urge to post a link to that thread, when you say yourself it's not the same?
Logic, dude. You apparently have none.

Hey man thank you so much for this! Ive always had to wait like 5 seconds being a Druid FC before I could go to travel form. With what you suggested I can shift into travel form immediately!
