Flying without a mount on timless isle

So this is a small bug with some possibilities for potential.

The only thing required for this to work is for you to click the Gleaming Crane Statue - Object - World of Warcraft
which can be found on the timeless isle.







So what you do is click the statue and receive the slowfall buff it gives you to collect as many chests as you can. however when your at the desired hight before the buff runs Mount up with you desired mount When the buff expires instead of dropping you towards the ground you will remain suspended in the air.

Cant get this to work, I hit the crane statue land on a platform and wait for the buff to go away then just fall to my death.

Nice find, but I think your title is slightly misleading. You can't fly, you are just standing on an invisible platform.

if you mount up and try and go anywhere you fall. Still, it looks cool and maybe useful for other stuff (perhaps as a
launching pad).

Cashrock: I'm guessing you looted the chest. You just fall if you do that.

This is actually a known bug on any object, including mining veins and chests. Stand on em before they disappear or get looted. and you are still standing where they were.
