New Treasures of the Vale Unlimited farm

Here's the thing, in 5.4 all the former quest bosses in Vale of Eternal Blossoms were turned into rare mobs with about 50% chance of dropping the new Treasures of the Vale - Item - World of Warcraft loot bag which contains mostly profession drops. The rare are on a decent respawn timer, not sure if you'd be able to kill all of them nonstop. However, there's one NPC accompanied by adds, General Temuja General Temuja - NPC - World of Warcraft. What i've found is that if you kill him and leave the adds alive, resetting the adds will respawn the General. Should be fairly easy to farm various mats. In addition, this is a pretty good way of farming Golden Lotuse reputation. With guild perk you get 220 Golden Lotus rep per kill, double that after you get to Revered and buy the commendation. Enjoy!

Tested it and it worked. Sadly I managed to kill 2 adds that spawn with him after 2nd kill So watch out, they have low HP since my starfall killed them.


First kill, you can see that he is dead.



2nd kill, you can see that i looted him and fighting a new one.

tested on US not working
killed general / left adds alive and ran away to disengage from combat, he did not respawn
Do you need an instant disengage like vanish/feign death/ invisibility?

I killed him again but this time i figured it out what was the issue

If you have legendary back and it procs while his "guards" are close you will kill them. So if you are a caster/melee pull him with an ability that doesnt do dmg and try to keep at least one alive

possibly fixed, not working on US. after killing the main rare, desummoned my pet and feigned. the mobs surrounding him disappeared, but the rare didn't respawn

Its still working. Killed him 10 times, but he stopped giving loot after 6th kill.

So, i guess after some time he stops giving loot

That would suck if someone got that 6th kill :P, and they just don't get loot haha.

Yeah, that is kinda stupid. But that might be some fail safe design, I tried to kill one and reset with only one add, to kite them out and reset them like that and and also with shadowmeld, but as I said, after 6th kill he stopped giving loot.
