When you are trying to find the best spot to farm, you have to think about this: what do people need tons of?
For example, if you farm something that only a couple of people need, isn't in high demand, and they only need a few off, you won't make much gold. This is the main downfall of all other gold farming guides.
So, what do people always need? Reputation! The easiest rep. items to farm are Aldor/Scryer rep items, so that is what we are going after.
It may vary from server to server, but on my realm, Scryer marks sell for 25s, while I sell aldor marks for 1g each, so I never bother with Scryer.
What you will be farming:
- Mark of Sargeras - Roughly 30-40% drop rate, sells for 1g each
- Fel Armament - Roughly 3% drop rate, sells for 15g each.
- Netherweave Cloth - 60% drop rate, find a Tailor to make these into Netherweave Bags, these bags take a stack of cloth to make... The cloth sells for 3g a stack, bag sells for 5g.
- Life/Mana pots
- Vendor junk
- Coin drops! Each mob drops 10-20s.
Where can you get all of these, you ask? Thottbot World of Warcraft: Creature: Deathforge Technician
The mobs in this area have about 5k life each, drop all of the above, and there is enough to farm non-stop all day long. I have yet to see anyone else in this area, other then the one quest you can complete here.
As an Affliction Warlock, the strategy is: DoT, fear, move onto next mob. I can fully clear the area in 5 minutes, where you move into the cave and start clearing that. By the time you get out, the mobs will have respawned.
In an hour, I usually get 40x marks, 2x fel arms, 2x of each pots, tons of vendor junk, 4 stacks of netherweave, and roughly 20g just from coin drops. It totals over 150g/hr.
